— The Walla-Walla Legacy
Traditional Water Taxis
The 'Walla-Walla' is a hallmark of Hong Kong's maritime culture. These small, agile motorboats gained their name from the sound of their early diesel engines.
Since the mid-20th century, they have served as the vital 'final mile' for sailors and residents. Today, they are available for hire from the pier for harbor crossings and private tours when the Star Ferry is closed or for non-scheduled routes.
